DMV Water Pros was started in 2026 by Northern Virginia homeowners who got the same experience everyone gets: a free water test, a two-hour kitchen-table presentation and a quote north of five thousand dollars for a softener and a filter. The equipment inside those systems costs a fraction of that. The rest is the sales process.
So we removed the sales process. We publish the price, size the system from your utility's public data, send you the model numbers in writing and pay licensed plumbers to install it. That is the whole business.
How we work
The price is on the website
If you have to sit through a two-hour appointment to learn what something costs, the price is designed to be negotiated. Ours is designed to be paid once.
We size from the utility's data
Fairfax Water, DC Water and WSSC publish what is in the water. We read those reports so the softener and carbon media match your actual hardness and disinfectant.
Licensed plumbers install, and only install
The people who put the system in are licensed, insured plumbers who do water treatment installs every week. They are paid to install, not to sell you more.
We say no when the answer is no
A softener will not remove lead. A carbon filter will not remove hardness. A well needs a lab test. We would rather lose a sale than install the wrong thing.

Licensing and insurance
Every installation is performed by a plumber licensed in the jurisdiction where your home sits, with general liability insurance covering the work.
Warranty
10 years on tanks and control valves, 1 year on workmanship. Filters, resin and salt are consumables.
