Well water in western Loudoun, Great Falls, Clifton, western Howard and Frederick County varies from house to house. Iron, manganese, hardness, low pH, sediment and bacteria each need their own step, and the order matters. We test first and quote second.
Well systems are quoted after a certified lab test. Most complete systems start around $3,999 installed.
What changes after installation
Iron and manganese staining stopped
Air-injection or catalytic media filters remove the iron before it reaches your fixtures and laundry.
Acidic water corrected
A calcite neutralizer raises low pH so it stops eating copper pipe and leaving blue-green stains.
Bacteria addressed
UV disinfection treats coliform without adding chemicals to your water.
Hardness and taste
A softener sized to your tested hardness, plus reverse osmosis at the kitchen sink.
How it works

We collect a sample and send it to a certified lab for hardness, iron, manganese, pH, TDS, nitrates, bacteria and, on request, PFAS and radon.

You get the results and a written system design that explains each stage in order.

A licensed plumber installs the system where the well line enters the house, ahead of the pressure tank outlet.

Well Water questions
How much does the lab test cost?
We include a standard panel with any well quote. Loudoun County also runs a low-cost well testing program if you want an independent baseline.
My water smells like rotten eggs. What is that?
Hydrogen sulfide, usually from sulfur bacteria in the well or water heater. Treatment depends on the source, which is another reason we test before recommending anything.
Can I just install a softener?
If iron is above about 1 ppm or pH is below 7, a softener alone will foul quickly. The test tells us whether you need iron treatment or a neutralizer first.
