DMV Water Pros

No sales visit. One firm price. Half a day.

Most water treatment companies sell in your kitchen for two hours. We confirm the details by phone, send the price in writing, and the only person who comes to your house is the plumber who installs it.

The three steps

  1. Request a consultation

Send your address and the service you want. We check your utility's published hardness and disinfectant and ask a few questions about your home.

  2. Get one firm price

Within a business day you get the exact equipment we recommend, with model numbers, and an installed price that does not change on install day.

  3. Licensed plumber installs it

A licensed, insured plumber installs the system in two to four hours, tests it, and walks you through salt and filter changes. Then you forget about it.

What install day looks like

  1. Before install day

You get a text with the plumber's name and arrival window. Clear a 3 by 3 foot area next to the water heater and under the kitchen sink.

  2. First 30 minutes

The plumber confirms the main line, drain and outlet, shuts the water off and cuts in the bypass and system connections.

  3. Hours 1 to 3

Tanks are set and plumbed, the drain line is run, the brine tank is filled and the valve is programmed for your utility's hardness. The RO unit goes in under the sink with its faucet.

  4. Last 30 minutes

Water back on, every connection checked under pressure, system flushed, and a walkthrough of the valve display, salt and filter changes. You get the model numbers and warranty in writing.

Maintenance you can do

Add a bag of salt when the brine tank runs low. Swap the sediment pre-filter every 6 to 12 months. Change the RO cartridges once a year. Each takes minutes and needs no tools.

Or let us do it

An optional annual visit covers salt, all filters, a sanitize cycle and a quick check of every connection. It is optional and priced per visit; you are never locked into a service contract.

If something goes wrong

Call or text the same number you booked with. Workmanship is covered for 1 year and equipment for 10 years, and we dispatch the plumber who installed it.

Installation questions

What counts as a standard install?

The main water line, a drain and a standard outlet all within reach of each other in a basement, garage or utility room, and a kitchen sink with cabinet space for the RO unit. Most DMV homes qualify. If yours does not, we tell you the added cost before anyone shows up.

Do you come to my house to sell me something?

No. We confirm your utility and home details by phone or text, give you a firm price, and the only visit is the installation. If you want an in-home water test first, we can arrange one.

Who does the installation?

Licensed, insured plumbers who install water treatment systems for us every week. They do not sell, upsell or quote; they install the system you already agreed to.

How long does installation take?

Two to four hours for the whole-home system and about an hour for the reverse osmosis unit, usually in one visit. Water is off for roughly an hour.

What maintenance is there?

Add salt to the brine tank when it runs low (one or two bags a month for most families), change the sediment pre-filter every 6 to 12 months and the RO filters once a year. We offer an optional annual service visit if you would rather not.

Do I need a permit?

Some jurisdictions require a plumbing permit for a softener installation. We handle it where required and include it in the price we quote you.

Will you drain softened water onto my lawn?

Softener regeneration water goes to a drain, not your yard. We can add an outdoor-tap bypass so hose bibs stay on unsoftened water if you prefer.

Do you work on systems you did not install?

Yes, on most common valve brands. Repairs are quoted after a look at the unit.
