Leesburg runs its own treatment plant. Addresses just outside town limits (Lansdowne, River Creek, Potomac Station) are on Loudoun Water instead, so the first thing we confirm is which utility bills you.

Leesburg draws from the same Potomac River as its neighbors, so hardness is expected in the moderately hard band. Confirm with the town's latest report. Anything above 7 grains per gallon is classified as hard. In practice that means scale on fixtures and shower glass, spotted dishes and mineral buildup inside water heaters and tankless units.
